My daughter had her face made up at the Estee Lauder counter of our local department store for her school formal. We paid a deposit and the beautician spent about 30 minutes on her face. The colours and overall look were just perfect for a teenage girl and she kept a record of every product and colour she used, for future reference. Our deposit covered the cost of an Estee Lauder lipstick and lip gloss, to touch up after eating dinner at the formal. There was change left over, so we’ve got a voucher to spend at the Estee Lauder beauty products counter, and she also got a free perfume sample to take away. She loved being pampered in that way and ended up being formal queen.

Chemical hair straightening is the harshest of hair treatments, so it is worth talking to your hairdresser about it before you choose this way of taming those curls. The salon treatment is similar to having a permanent wave, but instead of wrapping your hair around rollers, it is straightened using cardboard templates.
The results will depend on your hair - just how curly is it, has it been coloured, what is its condition? The hairdresser will apply a protective oil first and you don’t have to have your whole head treated, so if your under hair is curliest, you could just have that part done.
